educators - Evan Parks

Evan Parks is a PhD candidate in the department of Germanic Languages at Columbia University where he studies German-Jewish thought and modern German literature. His thesis explores the entanglement of German and Jewish intellectual traditions in the poetry of Paul Celan. In 2014 and 2018 he facilitated Bronfman alumni trips to Germany in conjunction with Germany Close Up. He has previously worked for Prozdor High School at Hebrew College and the Creative Arts Council at Brown University. He is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and was a Bronfman Fellow in 2005. Evan lives in Manhattan with his wife Eliana and daughter Selah.
