36 Ways to Celebrate with Bronfman in 2023

 

We’re thrilled to be celebrating 36 years (double chai) of The Bronfman Fellowship! Celebrate with us by joining one or more of these – count ’em – 36 ways of engaging with the Fellowship community.

We will be updating this list frequently with the most up-to-date information.

Virtual and Asynchronous Events (in chronological order):

  • Inspire 36: Israelis in America – March 13, 12pm-1pm ET. Daphna Yizrael (Director, Amitei Bronfman), Daphna Ezrachi (Amitei Bronfman ‘05) , and Oz Bin Nun (Amitei Bronfman ’15) spoke about how their exposure to American Judaism has shaped their thinking about Jewish community, Jewish expression and culture, and connection between Jews in the U.S. and Israel.

    A live virtual event for our entire community, featuring learning with faculty (including Rabbis Sharon Cohen Anisfeld, Vanessa Ochs, and Avi Weinstein), opportunities for personal connection, and some fun surprises!

In-Person Alumni Events (in chronological order):

  • Gather 36: New Haven – February 22. Over 30 Bronfmanim gathered to discuss “Three Ways of Looking at an Ending,” facilitated by Joshua Leifer ’11. Thanks to all who attended! 
  • Gather 36: Bay Area (Topic: Climate Change and Hasidism) – February 28. Over 20 Bronfmanim gathered at the home of Elissa and Alan Kittner, ’17 parents, and learned with Bronfman faculty member Rabbi Dr. Ariel Evan Mayse. Thanks to all who attended!
  • Gather 36: L.A. – March 1. Over 15 Bronfmanim gathered at the home of Dr. Sheila Nazarian ’94, where Dr. Miriam Heller Stern (’93) led a talk about creativity. Thanks to all who attended!
  • Gather 36: Denver – April 20, 7:30-9pm. Join the Bronfman Denver community for a 36th anniversary celebration at the home of David Andorsky ’92 and Joanna Arch. We will engage in Jewish learning and conversation led by Hannah Kapnik Ashar ’04 (Faculty 2015-2018 and 2023) and enjoy drinks and desserts. Partners/spouses are welcome to attend. Register now.
  • Gather 36: Toronto – April 23, 7pm. Join the Bronfman Toronto community for a 36th anniversary celebration and learning at the home of Jacob Sadikman ’94 and Samara Enchin. We will enjoy desserts while engaging in Jewish learning and conversation led by Hannah Mayne ’02. Partners/spouses are welcome to attend. Register now
  • Gather 36: Chicago – April 27, 6:30 pm. Join the Bronfman Chicago community for a 36th anniversary celebration at the home of David ’88 and Betsy Seligman. We will be discussing what makes for “good Jewish education” in a learning led by Rabbi Rebecca Milder ’91. Partners/spouses are welcome to attend. Register now.
