Risa Dunbar

Risa Dunbar (she/her/hers) is an emerging rabbi from Hebrew College (ordination class of 2026). She has served in a variety of Jewish education, ritual, justice, and pastoral roles at places such as the Williams College Jewish Association and Chaplain’s Office at Williams College, Hebrew College’s Rabbinical School and Teen Beit Midrash program, Lehrhaus: A Jewish Tavern and House of Learning, BBYO, The New Israel Fund, and Congregation Ohav Shalom in Albany, NY. Risa hails from the  San Francisco Bay area, and holds a B.A. from Brandeis University. Her work has been previously featured in Gashmius Magazine, The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies’ student journal, and Hebrew College’s “70 Faces of Torah.” In her rare free time she enjoys cooking, reading and writing, being outside, communal singing, and writing in Stam Sofrut (sacred Hebrew calligraphy).
